The location is perfect as it borders old-town Plovdiv on one side, and the long shopping street "Knyaz Alexander I" on the other, where in minutes you reach great shops, restaurants and terraces. The Roman bath house discovered in the basement during the hotel's 6 years of rebuilding and renovation, was integrated into the hotel with great care by the new owners after Plovdiv's archaeological excavation. The atmosphere of Roman times can also be found in the beautifully decorated courtyard where you can enjoy your breakfast or lunch. The luxurious atmosphere, intimate service and unique style, combined with up-to-date modern furnished rooms and bathrooms makes staying in this hotel a great and unforgettable experience, more than just an overnight stay. Both the owners, the entire staff of Villa Flavia, including the cleaning ladies, are extremely customer-friendly. They are always ready to help or answer your questions, and always up for a pleasant chat. Although for certain reasons the hotel is rated as a 3-star hotel (e.g. because they do not have that many rooms), Villa Flavia definitely deserves a 5 star rating in our opinion. We stayed there for 10 nights (3 + 7), and will definitely return to this hotel on every future visit to Plovdiv.

“A Perfect Stay – Highly Recommend!” I had an amazing stay at this accommodation! The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable visit. The hotel was built on archeological finding and they created wonderful story telling for the visitors. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. The location was perfect—close to key attractions yet peaceful for a good night’s sleep. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch experience!

Truly an original hotel which the owners have substantially invested in. There are stunning Roman ruins below the building and the manager offers daily tours after breakfast. Location of hotel is ideal and pretty close to everything in Plovdiv. Very happy with breakfasts (we were there 5 nights which I think is probably unusual).

The location of this property is 10/10! Close to all major attractions, restaurants and shopping streets. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Excellent recommendations were provided on where to eat and go for sightseeing excursions. We were also provided with a tour of the ruins underneath the hotel. The breakfast was also great. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel’s location is absolutely perfect—you can walk everywhere. The staff is very attentive and helpful. When we asked for recommendations on places to visit and restaurants in the city, they provided us with a great map and a list of restaurants. They also answered all our additional questions. While waiting for our room to be ready, they offered us a complimentary drink and even upgraded our room. One of the most remarkable aspects of the hotel is its deep connection to history. If you have time, we highly recommend joining the tour that showcases the hotel’s history and the traces of the past. The bed is comfortable, and the room is quiet. Everything you need is available, including complimentary beverages (such as soda, coffee, and tea). The atmosphere is cozy, and the cleanliness is impeccable. We are definitely planning to come back!

We had the pleasure of staying at your hotel for the second time, and once again, we were thoroughly impressed. The original Roman bath at the bottom of the hotel is such a unique and remarkable feature – it's an experience we won't soon forget. The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and understanding, making us feel right at home. The rooms were immaculate, and the location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw away from the amphitheatre. It's no surprise that we’ll always return to your hotel for every future visit. Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

What a real gem the Villa Flavia is. We were all amazed about how much professionalism and attention to detail was put in not only building this place but also creating the atmosphere, the attitude towards history, art and adding value to the community. Staff were exceptional, always there for you for anything you need, breakfast was continental but everything was fresh, tasty and both adults and kids loved it. Location hardly can get any better, if you go to the roof top terrace you will be able to see the Ancient Theatre, some of the churches and the horizon all the way towards the Rodopi mountain. Amazing place. Really recommend it to everyone who wants to visit Plovdiv.

Absolutely top class! The hotel is in a perfect location Shops, restaurants, bars and the cultural heart of the city are just a few metres away although, the hotel itself is tucked away in a quiet street which means you get a good night's sleep. The staff are so friendly and helpful and our comfort was paramount. The reception staff are always smiling and nothing is too much trouble. There's a bar which also serves snacks which we liked and was very convenient. Breakfast is varied and plentiful and we loved sitting in the conservatory to enjoy it. The rooms are clean, comfortable and well equipped with everything you could need. An added bonus are the ancient Roman baths which the hotel is built on! We had a free, private tour. It was totally amazing! Car parking is secure and only 2 minutes walk away. There's a car park charge of 25 lev per day but parking can be difficult in Plovdiv so we were more than happy to pay. All in all, a perfect stay. This was our fifth time in Plovdiv and the best hotel by far. We will definitely stay again. Thank you to the wonderful staff.

Lovely hotel. Will be staying again. The room was nice, with decent facilities. We stayed in the apartment which was quite spacious. Staff were nice and professional - made everything possible to make the stay nice. Breakfast was good, taken in the winter garden next to some old Roman artifacts. Parking available nearby, which is managed by the hotel, makes it more accessible than many places in Plovdiv. Speaking of artifacts, the building is quite new, and is built on top of old Roman baths, which we painstakingly excvated and restored. The preservation and archeology work they did was commendable.. At 10:30 they do a tour of the ruins (a must)!

A great place to stay. A perfect mixture of ancient architecture, cosy interiors and high tech. I liked the whole concept very much. The owners have put love and a lot of thought in it. The breakfast is small, but offers everything you need at a top quality level. Best orange juice I had in years! The staff ist very friendly and helpful. They all speak English, too. Don’t miss out on the house tour to the ancient cellar! The hotel is located right in the middle of everything. It’s just 2 minutes to the longest pedestrian walk I have seen so far. Shopping is close by. Cafes and restaurants are close by. Even the old town is right around the corner.
